Here is the second installment of a series on building a voicing vocabulary. This section introduces open position voicings, building on the framework set up in part 1. I hope some of you find this helpful.

Although we're working hard we are having fun in Ireland. Although I'm married I could resist a little fun with this beautiful Irish woman. Please nobody tell my wife, I just couldn't resist!!!
Although I'm leaving Monday I did get her email address and we will keep in touch.
John Daly makes the whole Ireland workshop happen! I am so grateful for him for all of his support, and I know all the other players involved in the workshop are as well. John is a dynamo of energy, I can't believe how he just keeps going!
He's the best! Here he is warming up with a blues.
When John wanted to learn improv he realized there were no classes in Limerick.... so..... John started a class and it's been going for over 2 years now. John is amazing!
Doug is an up and coming percussion from the U of Cincinnati. He's a musical cat and he's getting into jazz!
Jordi is from the Canary Islands and is a great Latin percussionist. He was out playing congas with local groups here in Ireland the second night he was here!
He's getting into the vibes now and has a great feel. I dug his Stefan Harris mallets and just ordered a set from Steve Weiss!
I seem to get all the hard math questions and then I just give up.
I think Norbert has great chops! He's a classical musician crossing over into the jazz world. I think he's doing a good job! I dig his hands!
Check Out Javier! (Ireland 2011 Workshop)
Check out Javier from Spain. He's a classical percussionist that has started studying vibes. He studies with Arturo Serra. Arturo must be a great teacher! I think Javier plays really good.
I had him play just drums and vibes. Check it out. I think he sounds great!
Hi all,
Here's some ideas for chord substitutions for the TOTM, Autumn Leaves. My apologies, but I'm getting over a cold, so please excuse the Johnny Hartman voice, haha! And also, apologies for my damn pedal!
