Hi Everyone,
Time for the Good Vibes August update -- August 7 and 10.
Scott Peters, new to the program, takes the first spot, followed by Milt Jackson, Johnny Lytle, Bill Ware, David Friedman and Cal Tjader. And that's just the first half-hour. I close out the two hours with Randy and Marianne Sutin's beautiful summer sounds, "Cicada Song."
Hope you can listen in!

Watch John set up and pack up his vibes. From a pros perspective this is a great thing! 3 minutes each way!
Amazing results: now if I can figure out how to remove this ad (or maybe there is no removal from the forum's communication chains?
Since posting this ad below, I have learned the pedal works but only thanks to duct tape ANd that the cover is not an original but that it was always "kept covered."
A quick and dirty video lesson. I shot this while in Ireland. The sound is not great and it's EARLY in the morning, I'm tired as you can see!
Here's a vibes/bass duo version of It Could Happen To You. This was the opening of my recent clinic presentation for the Summer Performance Program faculty at Berklee in Boston.
Here's a short clip of a recent clinic presentation at Berklee for the Summer Performance Program faculty. The presentation was on improv concepts and covered Tension Resolution, Four Note Groupings and Major 7 #5 Superimposition. I discussed the concepts and then played some written out solos that utilized the concepts. It might be helpful to follow the written out solos as I'm playing them on the piano.
Writing out solos based upon a specific improv concept can he helpful in assimilating the concept in one's playing. I have my students do that and it can be very effective.
