Hi there,

I'm „wuestentrommler“, living in the Sultanate of Oman. I work as „head of percussion“ for the royal guard's military school of music, teaching symphonic percussion to my students, currently 9 men and 10 ladies, all Omanis.

I was thinking about my post to Dimitri today and I started thinking about practicing slow.

I remembered that on tunes like Invitation it's really cool because you can get into all these harmonic worlds. If you take your time, let the sounds get out there and listen inside and see where you go with it, you can find new 'worlds'. We ALL have this internal thing that tells what's up and hit that chord now, and oops that should have been the entrance to the tune.
