Hello everyone. Last year at the World's Vibe Congress we discussed, among a multitude of other topics, how to create greater exposure for the vibraphone. One of the possibilities we discussed was creating new pieces and works which feature the vibraphone by skilled composers. Over the past 8 months my percussion trio, Portal Percussion, has been working with Colleen Clark, a musician & composer based in NYC, on creating a piece of music which embodies the spirit of the discussion last January.

What does the piece entail?

Exploring on solo vibraphone with a rubato version of Keith Jarrett's Coral. Focusing on motives, dampening and four mallet techniques.
