How to adjust your time settings.

If you notice when you post something or when you write something in the shout box(you can see the time a shout was entered by holding your mouse over it!) that the time it displays is incorrect, you have to adjust your personal timezone setting on your account page. Here is how to do this:

Step 1: Go to your account. This is the link on the left that says: My Account

I found this clip while searching for any video of Larry Bunker on vibes. I have always been a huge fan of Henry Mancini and he always featured great vibes players such as Larry Bunker and Victor Feldman on his albums and soundtracks. Larry was also a fine drummer who toured with Bill Evans in the 60s was one of the most in-demand studio percussionists of the era. He was well versed in the entire scope of percussion: mallets, timpani, Latin and ethnic percussion, you name it. We lost him in 2004. He passed away from complications of a stroke at the age of 76.

More pics of Dick Schory-one of them is with the Beatles. At one time, Schory was an executive with the Ludwig Drum Company and of course, Ringo had his Fab Four kit. Dick Schory used Ludwig, Musser and Paiste products on his recordings and tours. He was a percussionist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under Maestro Fritz Reiner at the beginning of his career.

Wish I could've seen this! This is documented on LP and they are available if you know where to look. The percussion section is out front! Yeah!

There is a music player on there with some tracks from an LP entitled "Wild Percussion and Horns a-Plenty." Check out the tune "Chimed, I'm Sure", which features a really cool bluesy chimes solo, probably played by Bobby Christian, one of Schory's featured percussionists.

I've got some video on modes that I'm editing and will be putting up soon. In this lesson, I go through each mode and talk about it. They'll probably get up early next week.

I'm also working on my Cherokee etude. I shot some video, but I'll see how good it came out. This etude is so hard to play, but i think it opens some doors into 4 mallet playing, or rather has for me. I'll keep at it. I need to work it up to a decent level then record it and write it out!
