Forum Topic: Vibes for long-term-rent (Brooklyn)

I have a number of vibraphones that I'd like to rent long-term at $75/month (3 month minimum) if anyone's interested in a rental rather than purchase. Right now I have a M-55 and M-75 (both vintage 70s) that are in great shape. Can deliver within a reasonable distance for a fee...or pick up in Brooklyn!

Thanks-
Jon

Forum Topic: Musser M-55 in excellent condition for sale

I'm selling a used Musser M-55 Vibraphone that's about 10 years old and it's in excellent condition. I just don't play it very often because of the path my musical career has taken, so I'd rather sell it to an individual or organization that will get some good use out of it than have it here collecting dust. Plus, I need to fund my ever growing tabla addiction. :)

Forum Topic: Selling my Musser 55 Vibes and Deagan Xylophone

Hi All,

After realizing that its just wrong to keep these great instruments in the closet year after year, I finally decided to sell them.
I'm just a malletKAT guy, what can I say

alternatemode.com/forsale.shtml

I'm asking $3999 for the Musser and $2999 for the Xylo. Please make an offer.

I got the Vibes in 1975 when I was studying with Dave Friedman. I brought the bars over to his house for him to check them out. He wanted to swap mine with his because they sounded great. These bars do sound great.

Forum Topic: For sale: Van der Plas bar post set + insulators

Hi .-)

Up for sale is a complete set of Van der Plas bar posts including the insulators. I bought these some months ago from Nico, because i had planned to build a simple vibe frame on my own. The intention was to have s simple frame at home and leave my Adms 3.1 at the rehearsal room and only take the bars with me.
But you know how it is... I didn't find the time to build the frame, so in the end, i've ordered an Edu-Frame fom Nico...

So if you ever wanted to change the eye-bolts and get removeable bars on your old vibe, this is your chance .-)

Forum Topic: Mallets for Sale

Hi Everyone,

I'm selling some mallets that I find I'm not using very much. They are:

4 Musser Good Vibes M237 (purple yarn)
Med-hard. Slightly larger head than the blue ones. I believe Bobby Hutcherson uses/has used this model.

2 Vic Firth Stefon Harris
Large head a la the Albright Milt Jackson mallets. Slightly longer shafts.

Both have been used very lightly used. I'm asking $100 for the Good Vibes and $30 for the Vic Firths. I believe they retail for $140 and $40 new.
