I'm selling a used Musser M-55 Vibraphone that's about 10 years old and it's in excellent condition. I just don't play it very often because of the path my musical career has taken, so I'd rather sell it to an individual or organization that will get some good use out of it than have it here collecting dust. Plus, I need to fund my ever growing tabla addiction. :)

I'd like to get $3750 for it, which is about $1000 less than a brand new one. I live just outside of Philly in the Upper Darby area and I'd rather sell it locally, or however far someone would be willing to travel to get it, than have to deal with shipping, etc.

If you or someone you know is interested, please email me at I also have pictures I could send

so you can check it out.

I have an M-55 from the 1970s that I am currently restoring. I have used these for 40 years and the frame is superior to the crap they sell today. The motor has been fixed by Gilberto Serna, I have replaced all of the post rubber cushions, and painted the frame. I still have to put everything together and sand and paint the resonator tubes, so it will be about a month before I am done, maybe sooner. I bought a set of M-55's for my college about 8 years ago and the frames are crap -so avoid the newer M-55s. I am selling these because I have a set of Aurora II Deagans that Gilberto Serna restored for me and they are beyond beautiful. I have no need for 2 sets of vibes. If you are interested, we can chat.
