Concert/Rehearsal photos of Sebesky's arrangement of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring

Here are some photos from a rehearsal and concert that took place at Berklee on October 2nd. The concert was part of the 100th anniversary celebration of Igor Stravinsky. The performance featured Don Sebesky's arrangement of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring. This arrangement was recorded on an album by Hubert Laws that included David Friedman on vibes. An excellent recording that showcases brilliant playing by David.

M-Dur - Rondo Alla Blues // Classic vs. Jazz!!

Hey Mallet Players!

A new Video of my Mallet Duo M-Dur.

In this one, Patrick and me have a little musical fight about the interpretation of Mozarts Rondo Alla Turca. We call this Arrangement "Rondo Alla Blues"

I hope you like it. :)

regards, Hauke

Autumn Leaves by Stefan vdb

Hey all,

With this I end my period of working on this tune.
I've done some chord soloing, but that's not in this video. You can hear this in an Autumn Leaves lesson adressed to me by Tony.

I think I need to grow a little more in that, but I'm happy with what I achieved here.

I hope you enjoy this.

And now back to work on new stuff.

Greetings,
Stefan.

My colleague and I put together the following small video (10 seconds). May I ask you to look at it, and if you want further spread it ?

Hey
This is a series of videos demonstrating some exercises for Tony's lesson trying to play solo vibes. I also got inspired from Gary burton's lesson so I broke my practise into little things. Remember these are just exercises and not the final thing.

video 1: play lines and the left hit at beat 1 always with the line
video 2: play lines and the left hand its on one and three
video 3: play lines and the left hand hits chords on one beat
videos 4: play lines and the left hand hit chords on one and three
video 5: a guitar approach to the vibes
