Here's a simple etude on independence. It works out half note bass notes and guide tones against the melody. It has a few tricky spots, but overall, it's a good start for working out independence.

I am proud to present here one of the best solos I ever played on the actual TOTM "Alone Together". It was a live concert which has been - thank goodness - accidentally recorded by the sound engineer. In the meantime I listened to it again and again but I have to confess I still like it!
