Patrice lives in Bordeaux. We already posted some vid from him... I came accross this solo version of "Bess, you is my woman now"...

I love the atmosphere, the empty concert hall and Patrice's interpretation, implication, rendition...

Hi all,

I've been in to this tune lately. Many people play it in Eb, but I play it in Db. I think the original version from the Willy Wonka movie was sung in Db. In fact, sometimes I think keys can be very powerful. When I hear this tune in Eb, it sounds ok, but the spirit of it really comes out in Db to my ears at least. I think certain keys have a vibe! That's why I generally don't like to play tunes in just any key, some melodies just have the right key! Any thoughts on that!? Anyway, enjoy!
