So I've discovered, Gary Burton and Joe Locke are both performing on the same night, in London! What kind of bad planning was that?! And to make it infinitely worse, my college have their concert on that night!! Urgh, so irritating! Wish I could go and see both those guys!

At the workshop in holland last time, Fritz Landesbergen offered us his CD which i really like. Most i like this tune that he plays as a duet with bass. Since i got no bass here i worked on it solo. not as nice as Fritz version but i´m ok with it.

I'm trying to get things organized for the workshop in Holland. There are a few things that are important right now for those of you that are (thinking of) coming to Holland in february.

First of all, don't book a hotel just yet. I'm gonna try to get a group discount, so I hope to save you all some bucks.

I am very thankful that Tony Miceli invited me to join the VW and seeing what a great "tool" that it is for all members to have access to answers for their vibraphone category of instrument problems.

Here's my attempt at Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5 by Heitor Villa-Lobos, arranged by Ted Wolff.

One critique I have is I have a lot of ringing. I can do the two handed mallet dampening, but I made no attempt on the places where I need to do the one-handed dampening. Something I need to work on. There are other obvious mistakes, but it won't get better than this unless I splice in the good parts of all of the takes I did :-(

I'll continue working on it.
