Anybody nearby, I'll be spending the day at Millersville University and performing at night.
Finally, a website celebrating the musical genius of Victor Feldman (1934-1987), multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire and one of England's greatest exports! You've heard him on countless film scores, records, he contributed greatly to Steely Dan's recorded work and so much more. We lost him a quarter of a century ago at the young age of 53.
I'm looking into buying my first set of vibes around Christmas this year and I have narrowed my options down to these two. I've played on the m-55, but I'm curious as to how the Yamaha sounds (I've heard great things from other people.) I definitely don't want to make a decision I will regret, so I'm looking to you guys to help with this decision. Any input would be great.
prepare 3 tunes and then turn on your recorder and do a concert. record the 3 tunes.
this is much better even than doing one tune. i'm doing it all the time now.
i think we should have a little online concert series. maybe some of you prepare a mini concert and we pick a weekend and post them!
i can't believe i didn't think of it before. think of all the things you work on!! going from tune to tune. the concentration.
ok for beginners you just do this. you play 3 heads in and record that. or one of the tunes you prepare a solo.
I just found this from one of the first historical vibists... Enjoy !
