A Beautiful Sunset!

I just finished practicing and was heading out to a gig and I saw this sunset. For me I had never seen a sunset like this. It was so inspiring.

btw - I personally think we should all document our lives and travels as vibe players, talk about our gigs, post cool photos and videos and really make a record of it all. I'm still blown away by Gary's articles and photos that he's posted. I wish more of the heavy pros would really post their history here.

What could be more inspiring than for all of us to see all of our worlds, what we're up to and what we're doing.

So annoying!

So I've discovered, Gary Burton and Joe Locke are both performing on the same night, in London! What kind of bad planning was that?! And to make it infinitely worse, my college have their concert on that night!! Urgh, so irritating! Wish I could go and see both those guys!

I am very thankful that Tony Miceli invited me to join the VW and seeing what a great "tool" that it is for all members to have access to answers for their vibraphone category of instrument problems.

I got 4 mallets, not acquainted with the arrangement, thanks to my great teachers, they all applauded!

The video(s) are going on-site for all to see and the message is, " if you respect your music teacher and his offerings, you can always come up with a "quality conclusion!".

Mike Pinto demonstrates "how to approach playing a melody line, as written, when you are not acquainted with it!". Note the improv's as they improve from the first chorus onward, even with my "jumping in" for a couple of bars and then "getting out", leaving him to continue on beautifully and in the end, the favorable applauds of the listeners!
