Marco is a great vibes player.
Someone recently commented on something about Terry Gibbs firing musicians that upstaged him. It was not done maliciously at all, but Terry wanted to set the record straight! Here's our phone call rough and unedited.
Some time ago, when this place was still at its genesis, I remember Tony wrote this "Music is a language".
Hungarian member Richard Szaniszlo linked this tune today on his FB, and I thought it was a great way to get back to this little phrase... from the Boss of the place, here so well 'illustrated' by a huge language master...
I love the way he speaks through his guitar, really talking to us...
Enjoy!

Thought I would post this I saw it at the DW stand. This is a reminder of a truly great artist Jim Chapin whom every drummer should know and whom I had the great pleasure of meeting. He was an amazing individual he could play either way leading with right or left hand had incredible independence with all four limbs and led the way for all of the great drummers we hear today and he wrote 2 amazing books first of which was printed in 1949 I think and was called Advanced Techniques For The Modern Drummer.
I just thought this was an interesting shot.
Hey here I am playing the solo form the Astor Piazzolla´s tune "Vibraphonissimo" played by Gary Burton. I hope you like it and expect your comments.
We just heard Alice Mc Leod-Coltrane on some of Terry Gibbs special tracks here. I was just wondering... We've heard that she, among piano, harp, organ, also played the vibes... But there are nearly no information on that part of her career. Who said she was great at this instrument too? Bruce was that you?
So I was just wonder, Mr Gibbs, I'm sure you could help us and make her memory live again here... Would you like to share your souvenirs of Alice with us? That would be so great!!
