Do you know Patrick Simard ? Canadian drummer. A Berklee guy also. Great fusion drumming and pretty good at vibes as well !! Love his phrasing !
Transcribing is a good way to practice !!
It's a rail that you put close to the bars. I wonder how good it is? If we could put a mic a half inch from each bar, that's really close. Now the bars ARE the loudest thing going into the mic.
Has anyone seen or used a system like this?
Recently I have noticed, when on the Internet, on almost any page I visit whether it be a bulletin board or just pages browsing the Internet, there always seems to be certain key words that are highlighted in color and double underscored. These words do not have to be clicked on to activate. If you just pass your mouse cursor over the underscored words, then an annoying or unwanted ad pops up that appear to be sponsored by "QwikLinx". Move the cursor away and they go away in a couple of seconds or you can click the x box in upper right corner.
The saxophone player I played with 10 days ago made me know this splendid ballad (how could have I missed that one during 30 years ????), it became instantly a nice poison, and then my first try. I know, it's a jazz monument, but as the wise guy says, the 20 000 miles long travel begins with a first step...
This is a LONG but great lesson.
Who can play this etude? I'll buy Giovani's cd for the first person to post their version.
Hi , one more tune , a fun up-tempo from one of my gigs last
month , after Vibes and Arco solos , a fun trading with Simon on
drums.
