I just wanted to share a very nice evening I had with some vibes buddies, thanks to the internet. I was on FB, and NicoFarr was about to start a Jam Session with some friends in Leipzig. He put his Iphone cam on and we connected on Skype.

At the same time Patrice Guillon in Bordeaux 'called' me for a nice chat... about vibes, the site, his progresses on the instrument, his worries and hopes, the future workshops, etc...

Here is my second version of Nature Boy. In Bm this time... and with a little solo! Oh man! Scary!!
I think the key is tiny bit high for my voice, but the previous one was too low, and I also had to find one that was not too hard on vibes... Oh well. If you listen to the background, it's not my pedal crying... but the birds singing in the garden behind me. Enjoy.

Hey I have been working with a really excellent set up this past month and i thought i'd share it with you. I play a lot of Acoustic Bass and I have been using my bass rig to amp the vibes. It ain't cheap but it is really superior for gigs with no FOH or PA set up.

TONIGHT at The 55 Bar.... Thana Alexa & myself will lead a great band with Alex Brown on keys, Petros Klampanis on bass and Pablo Bencid on drums!
We play from 6-9pm.
The 55 Bar is located at 55 Christopher Street between 7th Avenue South and Waverly Place.

Hi all.
Between yesterday and today something great happened in my playing, that I was expecting for, wondering if it would happen someday or not.
I was practising Solar, and suddenly I was able to play new chords on the fly, that is, playing new voicings, and different chords than premeditated.
And today that "flash" had a confirmation while playing Soul Eyes.
It can be something uneventfull for many people, but for me it's another (big) victory, that means I'm on the way to reach on vibes what I can already do on guitar, and it's a kind of validation of 3 years of efforts.
