Wow!
Here's my final version of CHE RO KEE
The etude is here:

So a lot's been happening. Some behind the scenes, which is why I haven't been online as much as usual.
Here's the scoop:
First thanks to Joe Locke who talking with Nico Vanderplas and Bill Youhass agreed to send a 3.5 octave set of vibes down to vibes workshop. What a gift! You heard my old instrument. Well it might be great for practicing, but when I would get hate mail from Piper about the sound I knew something had to be done. I just wasn't sure what! Then Joe, Nico and Bill came to the rescue. Thanks so much!!!

HI,
I am writing a dissertation for my degree about the vibes.
I would greatly appreciate it if anyone has any information of the history of the development of the vibraphone, and also if possible the physics and synthesis behind the sound.
Thank you everyone
My goal for this year is to learn to play scales and modes.
i was talking to a friend of me who plays in an orchestra which had a concert with evelyn glenni shortley. he told me that shes using the pedal with her left foot if shes playing in the high registers. sometimes if i play there i got problems with my stand also...i just want to know what you guys think of this?
Like most people, in December and January I sent some greetings cards, to family or friends, by post or internet, in France or all over the world...
I got replies from nearly all of them, but the most unexpected one must have been this one: London based vibist Roger Beaujolais, got back to my email with some very nice and very cool short vibes pieces, never released on any label!
He kindly agreed that I put them on the site.
Here attached, I chose this tune named "Transparent"...
