Ed Saindon updated website

Hey guys,

My website has been updated by vibist Jon Letsky. We're still in the process of tweaking some things, but there's quite a few things up on there now. All of my YouTube videos can be viewed directly from the website under the video section. Some of my past PAS articles and compositions can be downloaded. Lastly, there's information on my mallet, recordings and books on there as well.

Virtual Playing (For the Geeks on the site)

Here's a virtual conversation about playing via the internet. I don't have the time to sort it all out but if you sift through, it's pretty cool.

------------------------------------------------------
so it sounds like this could possibly work from west to east coast?

but remember somebody plays something on the east coast. in jazz i'm responding to that moment. then he's responding to me.

hmmm, but if i can do it being 55 feet apart from the other musician, then this is possible in this capacity.

that's the verdict?

DeMorrow vibraphone

Hi all!

I'm sitting at home grounded with a bad cold so I got more time than usual to post here.

Someone at TheVibe.net reported that he recently acquied a 4-octave DeMorrow vibraphone - is there anyone familiar with this brand? Any opinions? Nico?

Well, I am an old gear head

cheers Stefan

A few minutes a day

Hi all

Since my favourite musical companion a flutist is on maternity leave for another year now I started to check out other hobbyist people to make music with. So far I haven’t been very successful. One guitar player I met who was quite on an equal level to me and was a quite nice person. However suddenly he was no more reachable for me without any further notice. Another guitar player who was a nice person as well turned out to be a low level beginner (although he had tons of equipment) – he also quickly disappeared.

Joe Locke at Dizzy's

Saw Joe Locke last night with Tony and chris dingman was there, also christos was there too!

It was a great show! The thing that I love about every time I see Joe Locke perform is his ability to draw you into his world and make you feel welcome there. He really tells stories well (musically and verbally), from the intro to the ending (and he has really nice endings!), the experience is more then just going to see some music...its really about experiencing the music and the world that joe creates and welcomes us all to become a part of.
