This Thursday, I'm doing a concert with Gerald Veasley and the Electric Mingus Project.
I think we're going to stream the concert live. We're checking out a couple things with internet from the club. If it all works out then we'll be live. I'll be using my vibes with the k&k system on them as well as my MalletKat. |

This was a GREAT workshop. Nothing else to say. And I have buddies from all over the world. Great friends and great players. What can I say. This is some heavy &*it for me.

Phillipe Mace's Workshop Music - vanderPlas Baelio 2011

Phillipe Mace gave a great workshop on Improvising over bach. That is learning Bach and analyzing the harmony and then improvising on the chords in that style. It was great and really informative.
He had students come up and play a bit of the piece and then improvise on it. It was great to try and improvise with a different language and there is a ton to learn from this and to then take to jazz.
