The workshop seemed to be a success! Its not everyday that you get to meet guys like Joe Locke, Tony Miceli, Mike Pinto, Dana Sudborough, and Randy Sutin. It was a bit nerve racking to have to follow these performances at the vibe hang. Those guys are real heavy weights. Hopefully next time I'll be able to hold my own.

Joe Locke is THE hippest guy I've ever met. He has now become one of my major role models. Meeting and talking to him was such a blessing. I hope I can meet him again sometime.

Tony, you are an amazing person. Very helpful with everything. You just give, give, and give. I dig it.

Mike, I was shedding on that triad stuff for 5 hours yesterday. I also bought your album off of itunes.

Dana, you managed to pop brushes and play 5 instruments at 1 time. We will have to hang sometime.

Randy, we didnt talk much, but I am impressed with your playing. Reminds me of Steve Nelson in a way.

I will be implementing everything that I learned into my playing. It was great to get so much info. I have thousands and thousands of hours worth of practice that needs to be done. I cant wait to hear some more of the recordings from the workshop. Maybe one day i'll teach a master class for vibesworkshop.

people don't always comment on everything. NEVER take no comments as something bad. i have lots of posts with lots of reads and no comments.

you got to get over that one fast and not take it personal, in case you did.

Yeah no comment sometimes means just agreement. :o)

Anyway it's helpfull, useful and pleasant to read all the feed backs from the workshops or any other sharing between members. It gives us some impression of what it meant for you all. And I'm sure it gives stronger wills to participate in another opportunity for those who couldn't attend!

Thanks Joe D!... And keep posting! :o)

Sometimes, no comment means that the readers are spacey too. Guilty.

Thanks so much for the kind words. Although I can assure you that Steve is a far better player than I, I do appreciate the compliment. Truth told, we do have some heros in common... Milt Jackson, Walt Dickerson, Bobby Hutcherson. He has just done more with it than I will ever do. :)

It would be very cool if we could track down Steve and get him on this board as part of the conversation. It has been a very long time since I have seen him or spoken with him, but his playing and, perhaps even more pointedly, his ability to articulately describe the processes in his playing were a blessing on my life.

Peace
