Forum Topic: How do I post pictures?!
So, I'm pretty sure this is going to be simple but I can't be the only one who has problems with posting pictures... How do I do it? And (slightly unnecessary, but could be very helpful!) can you upload pictures through a smart phone? Thanks!

Nordlig Vinter - solo suite
Hey friends,
I recorded this rehearsal of my little solo suite for Vibraphone and iPhone called "Nordlig Vinter" recently. Thought some of you might be interested! There's three short pieces in the one video: Ice Drum, Clusters and Snow Bells.
If you like the music there's more information on my site: http://charlesmartin.com.au/nordligvinter

Goals
Just thought I'd mention goals again! They work so well for me! I learn something. I play something. I have this prepared by this date. I record this on zoom on this date. I work hard to achieve those goals. I move them up on my list of priorities. I don't give myself too many. I make sure that I choose goals that challenge me and are within reach. I work hard on the goals. I pretend they are real. They sort of are real right? If you have goals and have priorities AND manage them you will get better on the vibes!

Forum Topic: Changes to Somewhere in the Night
Does anybody know the changes to 'Somewhere in the Night'? The classic version is, of course, on Grant Green's album 'Street of Dreams' featuring Bobby Hutcherson. I know there is a video of Bobby playing it with Joey D as well. It seems like a tune that isn't played very often, but it's got a great melody and really swings. The form is also somewhat unusual, being 24 bars in length. I worked out the melody, but have been having some difficulty figuring out the changes because I suck at hearing bass lines and chords played on Hammond organ.

Forum Topic: I need help selling my vibes!
So, I'm a saxophone player and I have an old set of vibes that I'd like to sell because I need the money to pay for a flute. I know the brand is Musser and it's three octaves, but it doesn't have a motor or pedal and it looks like it's missing some kind of band that'd spin the parts in the tubes. Other than that, it seems to be working fine! (I've attached a rope to the bottom to act as a pedal) How much would be fair for me to sell it for? And as far as model goes, I have no idea what model it is nor where to look, I'll post a few pictures as soon as I can figure out how to.

Forum Topic: Stevens Grip
I'm new and Know nothing but don't wish to repeat the mistakes of the past, I taught myself piano...all wrong.
With four mallets it seems the evolution is Traditional grip to Burton Grip To Musser to Stevens? So why should the vibraphone be different?
What is it that the Stevens grip lack? What about that technique doesn't fit the vibe mastery thing.
I hope my instrument arrives soon, I'm tied of banging my table and afraid the old Kurzweil won't live much longer if I keep playing it with mallets.
