Another video of my Electric trio playing a new tune of mine entitled "The Whah Whah Song"

Hi Gary I have a question for you about amplification:
I'd like to know what you like to hear on stage that enables you to play using full dynamics and always sounding rich and never strident? What kind of monitor set up do you use?(where do you like them placed?) What do you ask to hear in the monitors (how much of yourself back at you as opposed to the other instruments?) Do you prefer one mic over others for live use? I remember you saying that whatever they put on there is generally ok but is there one that just sounds better?
Here's another ostinato etude on Footprints. This one puts the right hand on a few different beats, and has a few harmonic twists. Enjoy!
This is a clip from the jazz workshop i presented in Honolulu, Hawaii this February. the youths in the workshop are from a very talented Middle School Percussion ensemble and really soaked up the concepts .. One of the student just enrolled in skype lesson from my studio in oregon ..we plan on moving to Honolulu in february of 2015 ...
hey guys,
i decided to post another record from my practice journal. and hope for some critics of you. :)
the tunes i played:
darn that dream
recorda me
beautiful friendship
alone together
i don't want to translate all my (german) notes, but to summarize it:
- swing phrasing should be better
- be careful of pushing the time
- often to many notes
- calm down.
I hope i can get some good advices from all of you.
thanks and cheers,
hauke

I'm continuing with the theme of ostinatos, using our TOTM "Footprints". No melody in this, just a left handed ostinato, with some upbeat chord colors in the right. The etude is supposed to have a drone-like effect. Enjoy!
Hi everyone
One small sample from my latest gig in Philadelphia.
Thanks for watching!
