Private lessons are easy. Your teacher and YOU can post lessons and leave comments. You'll see on the left in the side bar under the private lessons 'Create a Post to a Group'. That's where you can post a lesson or topic you want to work on with a faculty member.

With each posting here you can attach files and leave comments. You'll get an email when a faculty members posts to your lessons and they'll get an email when you post and/or leave a comment.

When you post to your lessons group a page will open up with settings and dialog boxes.

Put the title in the title box.

As you look around the site, you'll realize how much time went into creating this site and how much energy goes into maintaining it. I think you'll agree that it's a lot of energy.

This site can't be maintained without your help. What you do with the material you get from here will definitely make or break us.

Please use your conscience. Be careful with what you do with the material you download from the site.

With each post on this site, you can leave an annotation, that is comments for yourself to read. These annotation are private, only you and the site administrator can see them.

You can mark articles with suggestions, mark up lessons with the progress you making. Even mark lessons completed so if you come back on a later date you can see that you've already worked on this lesson!

Also your annotations can be made public if you think they'd be helpful to others!

Yes this site is set up for private instruction. Contact one of the faculty members and they'll help you get set up. There is an additional fee for studying privately. And space is limited based on the instructors availability.

Most faculty members (if not all) that offer private lessons, will also set up individual lessons with you via Ichat or Skype.

Studying privately, you can create topics you want to study, attach audio video and pdf files, and refer to articles on this site and ask questions.

It's really simple to do and to get going.

Resources are simply areas to explore content. They're to help you zero in on what you want to watch and/or work on.

Audio - Contains all the audio content on the site.

Online Books - When new lessons are posted you'll see them on the front page, in recent comments and finally categorized in the online books. That's a great resource to just look through.

Pivot Chords are an interesting way to modulate. It's a great study when added to a tune you're working on!
