Here is our live version of Misty with my guitarist friend Bernard, yesterday for our little annual gig. The slow tempo allowed me to be more at ease to switch from vibes to voice. Though the melody is not that easy and the key was slighty too high for me. You also need to adapt to the accoustic of the church to hear yourself back and ajust your voice. To studdy the melody on vibes frist truly helped me. Anyway... enjoy. - M

So here is the live version of Centerpiece from our duet little gig of yesterday. Still a few good things to improve (the intro, keeping the time, the solos), but in the end we did what we could and that was fun! :o) A very small but nice audiencein the church.

ps: the 'wha wha mouth trick' at the end is -as always for me- a tribute to Joe Locke.
Tony got a nice write up on this weeks edition of our local rag

This is a great pic of Charlie Parker at the Royal Roost NYC 1948, can't help noticing all those people totally absorbed in his performance, just look at their faces, its a powerful picture for sure.

I'm just back from my little annual gig. I couldn't help listening to the recordings... And I can't help posting my first little solo live piece tonight... Some of you followed my work on this dampening etude. A few of you truly encouragement me (Dim, Tarik, Tony...) and of course David who inspired me. So you'll hear my dedicace to him after the tune.
hey guys,
This some etudes (two with play along and one solo vibes) of the tune September in the rain.\
I hope you like it!
thanks
