Leedy unusual set - Another beautiful old instrument
A good friend owns this old Leedy instrument. The pedal is backwards (push to dampen) compared to modern instruments, which makes it a challenge to play. Beautiful sound...weighs a ton!

Hello vibers,
For me the voicings and comping is the most hard and difficult part of my study of vibraphone. It's for that reason that I try every time to explore new ways to look to it to convert the comping playing as fluent as playing lines.
This is my current favorite photo: taken last week by my beloved, with me at my axe. This was taken for my not-quite-yet-completed website....
I have a malletkat but I'm not sure what the best software is to use it with. I remember seeing demos with Mainstage, and that seems cool, but I have a pc. Any suggestions?
I've heard Blackbird covered by so many musicians, including Herbie Hancock and Brad Mehldau. This arrangement for vibes is not hard to work up and makes a great little piece for a gig or a concert. A downloadable pdf is included.
Here is my shot to it. It is starting to drive me nuts, Maybe I'm trying to long. I don't know.
Greetings,
Stefan
Italian member Marco Bianchi took this pic from his mobile yesterday evening, a little before a gig in Emilia - Romania... Isn't it beautiful!! :o)
Question:
I'm a beginner vibes player, and am fortunate to play in a band that has a very wide variety of tunes in the repertoire. Don't ask me why... it just kind of worked out that way, and we're all amateurs in it for fun and doing mostly free charity stuff, so why not mix it up?!?
Pretty good, huh?
