This is simply a work book that offers something to work on if you're intermediate or beginning level at chord studies.
Pivot Chords are a great way to work on key stuff. I got the idea from Bill Evans. I liked
the way he modulated different tunes and tried to make my own up. Here's how he
changes key at the end of Here's that Rainy Day.
This attachment has the solo vibe music, lead sheet and ensemble arrangement for "Within A Page.
I'm glad to see John posting stuff here. Man he's a great player and teacher. I've had such great talks with him and totally dig what he has to say musically and philosophically!
BTW - In his spare time John is a FIRE FIGHTER. Yes he runs into 2000 degree buildings on fire to save people. WoW.

Christos is one of the most talented young vibes players in NY nowadays. This video is a performance that he gave at a famous Greek TV show. His playing is amazing!! Check him out!!
(You will also see/hear him speak greek!!) ;)
This group is a MUST see/MUST hear!! This is one of my favorites compositions of their CD. ("Live in Seattle").
This is an amazing performance, full of energy, magic and soul!!!!
Enjoy!
The first time I saw this Duo was at a marimba Festival. I had my mouth open the entire concert. I was just totally blown away by them!!
Since that day I hear and feel music in a totally different way. Joe and Christos are two amazing musicians that put their hearts in every note they play.
Check out their CD as a duo: "Van Gogh by Numbers". Incredible!!
