It was great to get into this tune again and realize that the C-section needs more TLC as well as a few other sections. Anyone think that adding a breath mark between critical transitions make sense? I.e.Right before the D section, perhaps?
For me there was a whole study around comping on the vibes. Comping is just Accompaniment. No rules.
So how do you play alternate sticking and comp. Well I use mallet number 1. I tie it in with Mallet number to

It's quick and dirty. so sorry about sharps where it would be flats etc. but you'll get the point.

Transcribe my solo. Do you understand it?
take the pdf and play the chord solo. memorize it and put it through keys.
MEMORIZE IT!
also memorize the solo and play that in different keys.
feel free to fix any 'wrong' notes.
