Here's part three of the tune Blue Bossa. In this lesson we talk about creating simple lines.
Here's a quick note:
The next vibe hang will be Novemeber 7th. I think we're going to have the vibe hang from University of Delaware. It will feature marimbist Casey Cangelosi, University of Delaware students (and Harvey) and hopefully Temple and Uarts student vibe players!
We'll a guest player of the wood pile (marimba!) Casey Cangelosi! He's a smokin' marimba player!!
Solar, Let's Cool One, Nica's Dream, My Romance, In A Mellow Tone
Dave Zoller - piano
Jonathan Fisher - bass
Andrew Griffith - drums
Dana Sudborough - vibes
Sorry for the poor sound quality. I just threw the recorder under the vibes and I was set up in front of the drummer so it distorts every now and again. Hope you enjoy it. I had fun getting schooled by these guys.
Here is the audio I managed to record of the vibe hang for anybody who missed it, love the quick lesson at the start, small glitch around 3.10 enjoy

It's Terry's birthday this Oct. 13th! I got this terrific very recent vid of him (May 30th 2010). I truly dig it, and am totally amazed by his groove, phrasing, touch, soul and energy!
How many times did we come to that conclusion: vibes keep you young! ;-)
Hey Guys, I set up my mics and recorded this quick lesson on how I might approach Blue Bossa.
I breeze over some things but I hope you get something out of it, and if you have ANY questions don't hesitate to ask and i'll try and explain more clearly!

Happy birthday to one swinging vibe player!!!
Hey everyone,
Another great lesson by Gary Burton! This is another masterclass! - Tony Miceli
