Christos Rafalides/Sergio Salvatore - Live at Pasic 2012

PASIC 2012, Austin TX. The duo with Sergio Salvatore. This is right before the doors open. It was a fun concert. The new Omega Vibraphone by Malletech sounds fantastic.

This is a blog dedicated to the study of Baroque. Consider this a part of the TOTM - CHOPS. I inspired to create this blog from Tony's post about increasin techinque (http://www.vibesworkshop.com/story/few-simple-things-will-dramatically-…). You can post your performances here or you can fill in the other voice that miss from the baroque pieces are posted here.

This Friedman etude No3 from one of my students. I always encourage my students to make up and play their own etudes. I will post his soon.
Enjoy

This etude is about lines... So, what do you suggest to make my practise of this tune more difficult and challenging!
thanks

I just had a talk with marie and we found that the word "chops" maybe can mean something different to all of us. So maybe to ask this question is a little late but maybe it´s good to see what most of you think...
to me chops means mostly the ability to play fast with sense.
what does chops mean to you?

This is one of my last etudes about solo vibes. The reason I post this etude is that I would like the opinion of the pros because I feel that something is missing from my playing.
Can you help?
I just worked on this with a student. I wrote out some two five one progressions where the chords keep moving down.
Where chops come in is this: You practice this and work up speed. Play 2 5 1 6's in different keys. This would really help your chops!
I've attached the 'rough' pdf I made for the student.
