Life's Blessing Study Series: left hand playing melody along with accompaniment

On this video, I'm playing the melody along with any bits of accompaniment that I can attempt to fit in without taking away from the clarity of the melody.

It's a good way to work on the left hand in terms of getting it to focus on melody and accompaniment at the same time.

Life's Blessing with left hand only

Hello everyone,

Here's the first video of me playing Life's Blessing. Please excuse the sound and video quality. I'm not too good when it comes to the technical recording and video stuff.

On this video, I'm doing one chorus of left hand comping in which I'm bringing out guide tone lines as well as some bass motion. I also use quite a few 10ths which seems to work well with this type of tune.

If anyone has any questions about this, just let me know.

Shenandoah - Solo Vibes

Hey Everyone,

I just recorded this (in Tony's terms, a "Quick and Dirty Video") last week when I was taping some things for the Life's Blessing study. The progression from this rendition is based on Keith Jarrett's version of Shenandoah from his recording The Melody at Night, With you.

about 2 month´s ago i saw a live concert of christina aguilera on tv. she really blew me away cause not like other pop diva´s she had a real band with complete horn section ON the stage and not hided anywhere in the back.the band was really killer like and they played soul and even some jazz elements in there, mostley from her back to basics cd.i got the cd later but it´s not as good as her live show...ok i am no teenie anymore but this woman really can sing incredible.

Harry Sheppard and His Set Up

Here's a photo and a note that harry Sent me. (Tony Miceli)

Hi Tony! Here's a recent photo showing my very comfortable solo restaurant set up.

4 octave malletKat, set at normal height.
roc/soc seat, set high (with extension),
so I'm leaning back on it, not really sitting low.
This way, should I desire to stand and play, the instrument does not look strange to me.
Sitting also makes it easy to use the foot switches!

To my right is the Korg i40M, interactive module. Takes care of ALL my sound, and back up.
