It Could Happen To You by Ed Saindon from the Park Plaza Hotel

Hey guys,

Here's another clip from our hotel gig. We're playing "It Could Happen to You" in Eb, although it's played quite often in G. One of my favorite versions is from Keith Jarrett who plays it in G. Sorry about the crowd noise. We're playing in the lobby of the hotel where people are coming and going.

I'm Old Fashioned by Ed Saindon at the Park Plaza Hotel

Hello everyone, I'm playing vibes tomorrow night (Friday, 10/22) with Billy Novick - clarinet and Thomas Hebb - bass from 5-7:30 at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel in downtown Boston. The trio has been there 5 nights a week since September. Gustavo and I have been sharing the gig with Billy and Thomas. It's been a nice run. Here's a videoclip of the trio playing the standard I'm Old Fashioned (taped in September at the Park Plaza Hotel). We'll be uploading a total of 10 clips (from 9/16 at the hotel) to my YouTube Channel.

Gary Burton At The Blue Note

Checked out Burton tonight at the Blue Note. He played with:
Gary Burton, vibraphone
Julian Lage, guitar
Scott Colley, bass
Antonio Sanchez, drums

It was a GREAT concert. The band was smokin', and every took great solos, but I was especially blown away by Gary and Julian. The last tune of the night was Bags Groove and Gary took a great solo that really reminded me why he's so unique. He really has his own vocabulary!

Time!

My gig was cancelled tonight so I practiced all night. HOURS! You know I always say there are a few secret potions for getting good. One is study in all keys, two is to sing and 3 is now officially make time to practice. Time is the new secret potion for me! I always new it was important, and I ALWAYS put music first in my life, but now I've moved time on my secret potions list.
