How is the site organized?

Well, the site is NOT organized that great. It's very hard to organize almost 5 or 6 thousand posts. That being said I also think that a lot of people do not know how to use some of the built in organization:

Have you tried to click on the 'terms' on each lesson. If you see the descriptive term 'chords' (we call that taxonomy) and you click on it, it will pull up everything with that taxonomy term on the post. That's one way to find everything about let's say grips.

If you look here under Quick Links (http://www.vibesworkshop.com/panel/resources), I've been organizing some of the terms to help.

Next there are V-books: http://www.vibesworkshop.com/book. Jimmie White takes care of the books and puts all (most?) of the lessons in there.

Everything in a v-book stays in the exact same spot, unless we move it. So if you find a lesson there you can remember it's locations.

Have you tried using bookmarks in your browser? Or a book marking service like delicious? That could help you bookmark certain lessons.

Besides that I'm not sure how to organize thousands of posts and lessons! Your ideas are appreciated. Just post comments below. Anyone out there do this sort of thing for a living?

Where should I find all the pictures? I can see some in the V-Book and some in the Resources (last one looking more "organized" and clear). Couldn't we have them all in the same place?

go to RESOURCES then you'll see pictures. click on pictures.

you're making me think that maybe people don't know where to look for stuff that maybe it's organized a little better than we think?? maybe??

I went to Resources and saw the pictures: it's great! (when you think about going to Resources to have them).

But in the V-Book, there is also a section named "Images", with a few others.

I was talking about having one unic place, or having the same links in both Resources and V-Book if you like. Just regrouping them.

Capito? :o)

i think we should get rid of the image section in the vbooks and just let the image library be the image part. right?

Hey Tony,

I have a lot of ideas, but they all take a lot of time. But I think for the most part we're doing alright.

The most important thing however is that sometimes the tags on the posts don't really correspond to what's in the post. So we have to try to be very strict in the tagging. Then it will become more clear. Understand what I mean?

Maybe a page dedicated to the structure of the site, showing all the "architecture", giving a global and complete view of the "tree".
Maybe giving notice each time we encounter a "bug" (not exactly the word I need..) in the organization.

For example : When we suscribe (meaning we're new to the site), we go to the page Shop, and there is this choice : log in or create a new account. We've just created one account to suscribe, then we try to log in using the same password, but it doesn't work. Why not writing, on the home page of the shop, a warning saying the suscribers NEED to create a new account, and make it clear for everybody that suscriber's account and shop account are separated. That would avoid a waste of time for everybody (2,3,5 trys, then email to Tony, answer, others try, other mail, other answer, other try....).

This site being a marvel, the success is going to grow up, then the number of the posts will grow up exponentially (one new suscriber means 10 or 20 posts or comments, and if participation to the TOTM, 30, 40....100 new suscribers means 1000, 2000, ... 4000 new posts) ; then problem of scale...
