I see how to upload and post a video lesson, but don't see anything for an audio lesson, other than to upload an audio clip as a supporting document.

I don't see the replies to any postings when I select an item from the list of recent posts. What am I missing?

ed saindon Thu, 12/03/2015 - 17:50

Stephen, I wanted to thank you along with Tony for all of the work. The new format looks excellent. I know the hours involved to pull this off must be incredible. Ed

Thanks Tony and Stephen for all your hard work in updating the site. It looks great and I'm so glad to see the issues fixed so quickly. It's a lot of work and you guys deserve a boat load of credit!!!

Seriously, thank you both for all your efforts.

One thing I noticed is that when you search for a term, the search results exclude some relevant posts. For instance, I searched for "ostinato" and "ostinatos" and Tony's post "TOTM - The Art of Solo Vibes - Ostinatos by Tony Miceli" didn't show up on either search (http://www.vibesworkshop.com/video/totm-art-solo-vibes-ostinatos-tony-m…).

I also tried "Afro Blue" and the search results are almost all from my blog...I know there are a lot more Afro Blue posts out there, because I read/watched a ton of them back when I was learning that tune.

Not sure if that's a recurring issue with search terms, just figured I'd let you know.

Hi Stephen,
How to bookmark a post (video, lesson, audio etc...) ? I am missing something ? Bookmarking is a very useful function... Anyway, very good job done already :o)
Best
Babu

The initial version of bookmarking was moved into the core code for our new format. However, some things did not translate properly in the switch. Rather than confuse everyone with something that "sort-of" works, it is unavailable for the time being.

Rest assured that I am working on it, as I know how important it is.

Looks like there's some missing and/or misplaced content in V-Books:

Here are a couple examples, with the series of mouseclicks/links or breadcrumb showing how I got there:
example 1
"V-Books » Vibes Lessons & Technique » Lesson Plans » Chords, voicings, comping and more about all this » A Course in Jazz Comping for Vibes Players"
This has Ted Wolff's description of the course, but no links other than the standard

example 2
"V-Books » Vibes Lessons & Technique » Lesson Plans » Chords, voicings, comping and more about all this » Voicings in 4ths lesson - pdf and Mp3"
(the breadcrumb not reads "Home » Forums » Music Theory » Chords and Changes » Voicings in 4ths lesson - pdf and Mp3")
This page contains some brief text by Steve Yeager, then a series of links whose display text looks like this:
Forums:
Chords and Changes
Taxonomy upgrade extras:
Subscribers
Improv
Technique
Lesson
Chords
Comping
Dampening
Scales and Modes

Under each of these links, e.g., "Technique", or "Dampening", there are multiple pages.
"Comping" has 58 pages, and includes a bunch of Behn's recent "You Don't Know What Love Is" TOTM posts.
"Lesson" has 194 pages, and includes on page 1 Tony's very recent "Shortudes" post.

Let me know how I might help,
Mark

Thanks for pointing this out, Mark. We have a few consolidated views that are "doubling up" on the list. We may need some assistance from people like yourself to help us tweak our tagging and taxonomy. We'll be in touch!

Hey all - I'm registered and I'd like to subscribe, but the subscription links don't seem to work. I've tried using both the "subscribe me" link on the main page, and also the subscription option in the "my account" pages.

For the tech guys, I will mention that I'm using Safari on a Mac Pro. If another browser will get it done, just let me know.

Can you help me out?

thanks so much!

I notice that I have access to the subscriber-only lessons when I'm not signed in. If so, lots of people should have access to paid content without paying.

sdiedrichsen Thu, 12/17/2015 - 09:07

It looks much better now. I'd appreciate, if the Login button would be right in header, on the same height as Home/ Pro Corner/ Shop / ....
And I'd love, if links from your mails would take me to the login and afterwards to the content behind the link.
Can you do this?

Steffan

Wyld_Thing Thu, 12/17/2015 - 11:35

Love the new look. However further to comment above, I can access all the subscriber content, even though I'm not subscribed at the moment! I mean I'm not complaining... actually it's made me want to subscribe again so I'm not missing out on all this great stuff!

tonymiceli Tue, 12/22/2015 - 18:00

stephen is one of the percussionists at radio city music hall, and he's been doing show after show.

some of these problems should be fixed in the next day or say!!

Thanks guys for taking the time to post them!

Hello Tony,

It seems like a lot of the links in lessons for PDFS and other sheet music are missing...I see "supporting documents" links in the most recent lessons, but many older posts seems to be missing the material...or am I just not looking in the right place?
Thanks,
Matt

Differing image heights in the header block (e.g., Tony in the Santa hat, Omegavibe with red bars, chalkboard with music staves) cause the other content on the home page to shift up and down when the picture changes.
Also, links in the text accompanying those header pictures seems incorrect: "Tony Miceli Welcomes you ..." gives a "page not found error"; "Come Study with Us" and "Tune of the Month" simply link back to www.vibesworkshop.com

I am trying to access my account, but the "forgotten password" links are not making their way to my email. I had to create this second account in order o post this comment. The account I am trying to access is slatham42987@hotmail.com. I'm hoping to get into the shed for the new year, so the sooner you can help me out the better! Great site by the way.

johndaly Mon, 01/25/2016 - 16:14

Site looks really cool guys well done. I know i haven't been on for a while but well done a lot of great work done here

Susan Pascal Wed, 01/27/2016 - 15:35

Hi Tony,
The new site looks great, congrats! I have noticed a bug in OS X 10.10.5 and Safari 9.0, where the shout box content is wider than the allowed column space, so that the right edge of the comments are cut off.
Example of a comment from 4 days ago; this is all that shows:
"BarryK: I will miss Bruce. He was so sup"

Otherwise, awesome work and the site looks perfect in Firefox. Thanks!

tonymiceli Mon, 02/01/2016 - 08:11

that was the problem of a really long link. my partner thinks he can fix it with css for the future. i bet it is the right size now? right? the link scrolled off the page.

Is there any way to extend the login timeout? It would be nice to be able to stay logged in for a certain period of time. Sometimes I find myself logging in several times a day just so I can watch a video here and there.

wyndorps Mon, 02/15/2016 - 09:25

I am not allowed to post new content in the forum. For example in the section "For Sale" or "Instrument Makers". But it seems as if I could edit or delete any post that is not written by me.
