Let's all wish Barryk a happy birthday. Besides being the first subscriber on the site Barryk is one of the nicest guys you could every meet! And he's a hard worker and loves practicing and playing the vibes!

7:30 Limerick Time, 8:30 in France, 2:30 in Philly and 11:30 on the west coast!

Come check out the vibe hang Wednesday night. It will be the culmination of the 4 day workshop in Limerick. So hopefully all the cats will stick around and play. We'll have a rhythm section there as well as (I hope) a special guest. A local vibe player who plays great. He's also lending us his vibes for the week!

Ok, if you still have a video problem, then clear your cache. I still had a problem after Travis (our computer tech) said it was fixed and Travis said to clear my cache and all worked.

Travis is a GREAT guy and really knows his stuff. So I'm grateful for his help.

Now we're going to do a major update on the site. That's the next huge project.

Ok, something is up with video and we're trying to figure what is going on, so we could use your help.

First we've set the page not to autoload (probably should switch it back). And it's supposed to autoplay, but that seems not to be working with some.

So first make sure (for now) that you hit the bottom triangle, that should start the video loading.

Next, if you have a second and can check in here, let me know 2 things.

Is the video loading? (hit the small triangle at the bottom, it should load even if slowly)
Is the video streaming?

When I first heard the Steps Ahead album back in the eighties I was floored. Mike took the vibes into brand new territory! I'm a huge fan and today is his birthday so why don't all us VW cats wish him happy birthday.

I thought this was interesting. To me it means that the process of learning to be great on this instrument should be more exciting than actually being great on it.

I've always loved practicing and studying music more than anything.

Which ties in with another quote. Some asked Pablo Casals why he still needed to practice long hours at age 80. He said 'Because I have the notion that I'm getting better.' That kills me!!!
