現在學一組和絃進行：
第一個和弦，先演奏隨便一個根音的Minor7 和弦，
接下來的這個和弦是，往上移全音之後的altered 和弦（屬和絃降13音）
再來當然皆接在屬和絃後的和弦，最常見到的和聲進行就是接回主和弦。
所以和弦如下：
Gminor7- A7b13- Dminor7
這是blue in green 中，其中一小段的和弦進行，
把曲子分成一小部分一小部分，每一個小部份轉到不同調裡面，練好之後，會幫助很大！
練好這個之後，整首曲子的和聲進行你都練到了。

My vibraphone trio, The Wee Trio, just released our fifth CD today. We expanded the trio for trumpet, guitar, and piano. It features Nicholas Payton, Nir Felder, and Fabian Almazan. Here's an EPK/Promo video of the record.
Had a little time today between classes and ran through Chick's composition "Desert Air". Chick and Gary recorded a brilliant version on their debut recording "Crystal Silence", one of my favorite recordings. I remember seeing Gary play this solo during the 70s at a club in Boston called The Jazz Workshop. It was spectacular. This is a great but tough tune with odd bar phrasing and unusual chord progressions and modulations.

學敘事曲（Ballad）的第一件事，是學會弦律（Melody）
如果只打旋律，你聽不到聲音（心中沒有曲子的聲音），你就要去聽這首曲子聽CD。
重點是”演奏旋律”，然後心中想像著和聲進行的聲響。
一定要先去聽這首曲子，確定你記得了旋律，知道和聲聲響。再來到樂器前面演奏。
你也可以左手演奏Bass，幫助自己聽到曲子的和聲進行。

It's been a while since I've had time to post anything, since the 7 weeks of bebop really. I think it's a cool idea to do a similar thing with ballads.
In anticipation, here's a take on one of my favourite ballads. This is sorta where I'm at with solo playing on a ballad these days.
