I know I've done this before. But I've been doing with all my students lately. Here's another version.
Learn one of the songs on this Sonny Rollins video.
As you see he doesn't have a chord player in the band. So you just got the job.
1. comp for his solo and the bass solo.
2. He takes long ass solos, so solo over top of him for a bit and then switch to accompanying him on his solo.
Make sure you have decent sound so that this is fun!
If you learned all the tunes, you could see what it's like playing a whole concert!
Here's one of my versions on Marmaduke. I have been playing the tune every day! I love it!
Great hang with Charlie. Thanks to Tom Brown for hosting and setting this up!

Been working more on pianistic sorts of voicings.
Hi All!
This is NEW! I've been posting my shows at mixcloud.com. Go to the website and in the search box on the top left, type Good Vibes with Gloria Krolak. There are a number of Good Vibes programs; none but mine feature the vibraphone. Hope that makes it easy for you all to listen whenever you want. I haven't advertised it, Vibes lovers, so it's up to you to build up those numbers. ;)
