My first shot at recording etude #3
In this video I'll show you some of the exercises I use to do when I first started with vibraphone solo playing.
Make sure to check the previous video called: The Art of Solo Playing cause it's an introduction to this wonderful topic.

video #2 for me. I recorded the melody along with ireal pro bass and drums , then comped the chords along with it. I am still way too tentative and I need to hit harder! :)
Here are some common sub for the turnaround:
|BbMaj7 | Gm7 | Cm7 | F7 |
IMaj7 VIm7 IIm7 V7
sub Gm with G7 (Secondary dominant of Cm7)
| Bbmaj7 | G7 | Cm7 | F7|
I Vi7 IIm7 V7
2.Alter the chords
| BbMaj7 | G7alt | Cm7 | F7alt|
IMaj7 VIalt IIm7 V7alt
3.sub BbMaj7 to Dm7 (IIIm7)
| Dm7| G7 | Dm7 | G7 |
IIIm7 VI7 IIm7 V7
4.Using a chain of dominant 7th as the Bridge of the rhythm changes:
| D7 | G7 | C7 | F7 |
III7 VI7 II7 V7

these recordings are from me playing in Taipei, Taiwan with my quartet. It was my first time organizing a whole set of jazz performance(I'm currently a college student major in classical percussion), so I wanna share with you all. Put some comments down below and let me know how do you feel about it! Happy New Year everyone!
