In one of my received emails, I noticed these words that really hit home, for me and I know will touch all of your feelings. I think that it would be nice for Tony miceli to set up a program for all of us to submit an original melody line using the words of this article.
Upon receipt of all sent in materials, there should be a vote made to see who composed the most accepted version. he best part about it all is: (THERE WILL NOT BE A PRIZE) TO CHEAPEN SUCH POWERFUL WORDS). HERE IS THE ARTICLE that "PLATO" wrote!
Today I had to send some video for a TV show I might be performing in and thought I'd share these her too.
Hope you like it. This is from a gig I did in May 2010.

Hi everybody !
I've just start again to practise the vibes (I have stop it few months because I will not as fit as a fiddle)
So I practise this standard "someday my prince will come" (despite I found my prince ;)
I'd like to play this piece in duet vibes and contrabass.
This is just the theme I have "arrange" to play with in duet.
I actually work the impro part and harmonious part at the same time
, which I find very difficult.
enjoy and post comment to make me headway !

Dear all,
Here are some news from Joe Locke: about to play a gig in Winnipeg, he had to undergo an emergency appendectomy.
Luckily, all went fine. He'll have to stay in the hospital for 3 days and then on his way home for recovery.
His manager Tom Marcello nicely kept us informed and just gave us those latest good news...
Let's all wish Joe a prompt recovery, good times back and to see him back on board... and on stage!!

Hi ,
This video is somewhat special for me... It's the last time I played vibes ! As some of you know, I'm now in Warsaw without a vibes since October.
So just before leaving France, I recorded this in my parent's living room with a good friend of mine.
I tried to put into application what I learned from the TOTM My romance.
Third tune, hope you're still running strong.
Warren is a pretty heavy cat in my book!
I think Diane plays this just great. The melody is so beautiful that we decided not to take any solos. I like it when singers just play a ballad straight down, one time.
I thought this might be of interest to check out. It's a good shot of the instrument and the sticks. So now you can see when I hit a wrong note and how exactly I did that!
