Sandu, from a recent gig...
Took some videos of a recent performance at an assisted living facility. At least we didn't distract the guy on the left so much he couldn't work on his puzzle.
This one is "Feliz", composed by Carmen Sandim
“Sous le ciel de Paris” (Under the Sky of Paris) - one of my favorite classic songs from France. This superbly crafted composition was written for the 1951 film of the same name. Paris has to be one of our favorite cities in Europe for my wife and I.
This afternoon I wanted to get into this chord guide you did Tony, posted here:

I printed and proceeded to try and put it to memory while integrating the melody, which I hadn't memorized either until now. :) Hopefully it'll stick.
This is an excerpt of a great workshop David gave at our French workshop this year.
He talked about getting up and improvising on your instrument or a different one, and playing it in a way where you can get to know it.
This was at the Vibesworkshop France workshop.
Hi Everyone,
Great player! I was just watching some of his videos to get inspired to practice, when I noticed these weird spacers on his vibes. Anyone have info on them?
So I said I'd start to be accountable and post video of things I"m working on. This is a start. Starting reading through this yesterday. Harder than it looked! So many nuances with time, phrasing, pedaling, etc. So, a work in progress! I did analyze it as Tony recommended. Posted an image of the page here too.
"When I Fall In Love" - My private students and I were working on solo vibe playing concepts last week as applied to ballads. In addition to working on solo playing techniques, we were discussing ways of sounding colors of the chord via the use of counterpoint, chord voicings or with the lines when filling in between phrases or improvising.
