This is the first tune from a live CD "Ternaire", with Daniel Humair, drums, Jean-François Jenny Clark, bass and yours truly on vibes. It was recorded live in Paris, 1992 in La Villa. The balance is not great but the music has it's merits, I think.

I don't know if there is a common influence, but if someone played this for me without telling me who it was, I would have sworn it was Tony playing this. Reminds me of stuff Tony did on his version of Karn Evil 9.

Hey, you're right Barry, I see what you mean. In Sassenheim I could make the difference when they were playing together. But on that tune, yes, there are some similarities... funny! "Like father like son"? ;o)

he has for ever. sometimes i catch him in front of my house with a recorder.

let's just face it. anything hip he plays.... well he got it from me.

now i'll go ahead and listen to it!! just couldn't resist leaving that comment.

really though, i was heavily influenced by david over the years. he was always so interesting to me.

ok you have at least one. still would love to hear what you think about the trio setting with bass and drums.

this is really interesting music. so i think the secret is diversity and really interesting tunes. wow zipper teaseuse is really an interesting tune.
