Has anyone ever had any problems with mallet heads coming loose?

I've been playing a set of Malletech MM13s for a little over a year now. The yarn is still in good shape, but there is at least one mallet head that keeps coming loose. I end up just screwing it tight, but after a little while of playing it's loose again and makes an undesirable sound when I strike a bar.

Should I just try to unscrew it and put some glue in the hole? I don't want to ruin a set of otherwise good mallets.

Interested to hear what everybody uses to clean their vibe bars. I typically tell people not to worry about it too often, unless you have a particularly dirty instrument on your hands, but I'm curious as to what cleaners/products people have had success with.

Video explains the issue, but pretty much my m55 has been squeaky. I've oiled up the pivot points and the eye, still can't figure out whats going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

One thing that has really been making pedaling troublesome for me is the bars being uneven.
I tried using an adjustable wrench to make the keys' beights more even (the F#4 is the worst) but I ended up breaking one of the metal posts.
Does anyone have any tips for making the keybed more even? I understand that wood has a tendency to warp, and that something like carbon fiber would work far better, but that's out of my price range.
EDIT: As a temporary solution I've put tape on the area where the cord rests, raising the bars a bit.

Hey my fellow vibraphonists, I am wondering if anyone has had this problem before:
The damper bar on my Musser M-48 dampens the white keys sooner than the black keys when I use it. The result is an uneven feel, which presents more difficulty trying to play the instrument to make the subtleties stand out. (i.e. dampening, expression etc.) I have tried placing pennies under the two cross- planks that hold the white keys, but have found that this makes things more uneven horizontally (mid-range keys will dampen sooner than high and low ends).

I borrowed the schools vibraphone this summer. I've had it for two months. It did not have a cover and was in my back garage but I dusted it every other day. I've been playing it off and on all summer but I have to take it back next week and I noticed that all the keys are covered in black marks. I'm guessing that these were already scratched and gouged and that the black developed inside of them. Not all of the scratches have black. And I can't tell if all of the black marks were actually scratches.

But just wondering, I don't really know the best way to take care of frame noise. I am pretty new to this instrument and have spent more time practicing on it then figuring out all the ins and outs I should know.

Any advice would be great.
