Forum Topic: Problem with Audio only Lessons
Hi all! I have been a registered user for a while, but I just recently got on the subscription thing to get access to the lessons--finally have a little more time to practice; also my own vibes and practice space. (hurray!)
My question is this; every time I try to listen to an audio only lesson, it ends up only going 1/3 to 1/4 of the way through. For instance, If the audio is supposed to be 14 minutes, it usually only goes for around 3 minutes. Video seems to work fine. I am running on OSX with Firefox as a browser. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for any help!

Joe Locke & Co - Stepping on Stars in Paris
|
One thing is sure: Joe Locke is far too seldom playing in France. But this Friday evening he was in Paris at 'Le Sunside', in the nice pedestrian jazz part of the city. This time, he was playing in a chamber trio with Rosario Giuliani on sax and Dado Moroni on piano.
Of course I was there, with my guitarist friend Bernard… and Florian who just turned 10. Mainly for him we were placed in the front row, but this venue is so small that from my seat if I’d bend my arm I could touch the vibes!

Watermelon Man - Christian Tamburr Quartet
This is Christian Tamburr, a GREAT two mallet vibist, at a gig in Florida. Not an unobstructed angle, but a good view of how he works the pedal.
The other instruments were organ, guitar and drums.

Little B's Poem
I've been practicing Little B's Poem today. I'm reminded on how important it is to work on solo versions of the tune. EVEN if you never get completely to the end, where it's a real solo tune you can play. BUT you get close.
I've realized today that when melodies have roots or 3rds in them that we have to come up with creative voicings., especially with dominant chords. So I've learned a lot today.
I was playing along with the cd and checking out the melody. Then I started to work on it as a solo tune and all this great stuff started happening for me.

Forum Topic: Another internship?
Hey guys, some things fell through on an internship so I'm looking for someplace to go for a few days between now and the 28th. I've got a little bit of money for amtrak/greyhound and I'm looking for something vibes related for 3-7 days. I'm hoping to be on the site quite a bit in the mean time.
Thanks
