Hmmm...
About a week ago, I thought oh man, what's tj up to. He seemed a little over the top and a little too gun ho.
You know as the cat who runs the site, you have to be really careful about things, what you say and what you do. Something as many of you know, I'm not good at. There's been a couple times when I've wanted to hit the block button on a user, or pull something down. I bet some of you have wanted to ban me!! Ha Ha, but you can't! :-)
If you're trying to make a living in music, you absolutely must read this book. Written by Berklee technology maven David Kusek and cyber-licensing expert Gerd Leanhard, this is a comprehensive examination of the state of the music industry and a highly optimistic (from the artists' point of view) projection of its future (far less optimistic from the record companies' point of view).
yo man,
post the friedman!
Hey Guys,
Tony inspired me with his crazy version of Alone Together, so I decided to take this tune as the next tune to study this week.
Remember, I'm trying to keep things going here and I hope you guys join in and record the tune. The deadline is next friday, so let's all post someting, ok?
I'm working on a play-along for you guys to record with and I hope to have it ready monday evening. In the meantime, check out the tune(hopefully by ear and not by realbook) and check out Tony's post(see check this out).
I was just playing the piano and realized, I could not dampen single notes while holding the pedal down. But you CAN on a vibraphone! I probably would never have even tried, if I didn't play the vibes.
