Here a little video made with a friend who is resuming contrabass playing after a 30 years break...
This is an important step for me because during my whole jazz life i always played with drummers. It's quite different to play without and i had to work somewhat hard to get tunes down in a reasonable way... One more time, thanks to WWWvibesworkshop.com for the all sorts of help during all thoses years...

Hola! les comparto el audio de 3 coros de Donna lee en donde me puse el desafio de lograr tocar la melodía, luego improvisar y en el tercer coro hacer la primera mitad con comping y finalizar en la segunda mitad, con la segunda parte de la melodía.

I am on the events committee for the Vibraphone Project Inc.. It was set up to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the vibraphone which is now.

The organization needs vibe players to join committees and help it be successful. I think this organization is going to do a lot of great things for the vibraphone.

June 14-18 we are going to have a very special 5 day workshop.
6 classes a day featuring:

Info should be coming shortly. This is really incredible. Each of us will do a class each day for the 5 days.

There will be a concert on the Final Day with all of us in person.

This is a tune of mine call "Patience". I found this 2018 rehearsal video with Bill Bergmann(guitar) and Kam Markworth(Bass). I picked up a freelance Trio gig and hired these two to help me out.

video #2 for me. I recorded the melody along with ireal pro bass and drums , then comped the chords along with it. I am still way too tentative and I need to hit harder! :)
