Hello fellow vibists,
Here’s a version of Green Dolphin Street with Dave Liebman, Matt Wilson and David Clark and me. The head in and out is pretty loose, but in the whole scheme of things and vibe of the performance, it seems to work OK.
More from Elio's band. We're doing these for promo so I figured I'll post them here as well!
Thought this might be of interest to check out Tjader. Photos and photos of cd covers.

OK, this post was prompted by Ed's great version of Black Orpheus, and his thoughts about mallets...
This video was done a while ago, and I don't think I ever posted it on VW. Reason was, that I wasn't that crazy about the playing. It started out as just a personal comparison, to see how much I could feel the difference between mallets if I ran some video. A friend wanted to see it, so I edited a little movie and put it up on YouTube. But I was kind of farting around - wish the time and feel were a little better. Whatever, the subject is actually mallets.
An evening of dynamic duet performances of original music and jazz standards featuring selections from their critically acclaimed recording "Dark Sand".

For the "veterans" of thevibe.net, do you remember Polish born vibist Les Blachut? I have a good memory of a pleasant and funny guy, his six mallets theory (and practice!) and of that fun picture of him holding 8 mallets! Ha! :o)
He recently contacted me through Facebook: what a good surprise! I saw that he is here as member, but too busy to participate (so far)… between his work and his… twin babies! ;o)
