I just came across this smoookin' vid and felt like sharing it: Henry Hey is a great musician that I knew more as an amazing "soft pianist". He was notably in Joe Locke's two first albums with voice.

But man... this is another something else! And the four of them are... wow!! How would say Tony "playing their asses off"! Oh man! What would the Inquisitor think about it! ;o)

Anyway, I love to hear them all (that electro/sax is amazing!), and watch them having so much fun!

A lesson in itself, no?

Here's my first commercial for our store! I just want to go through our products and talk about them.

The site needs to generate more of income if it's too survive. So I need to get the world out there about our products, which I'm trying to do. I'm not much of a screen and stage personality, but I'll just do my best!

And these ARE really cool mallets.

Here are a couple of versions of Jobim's "Wave", that I have been working on the past few nights, and memorized. One as a solo, and one with BIAB backup (see attachment).

I don't usually post about my "live" radio broadcasts, but I'm excited about this one. XM Real Jazz (Satellite Radio - Channel 70 & 72) caught us on a really good night @ Dizzy's in NYC in late Jan. The results will be aired twice this weekend > Fri, March 12th at 8PM and Sun, March 14th at 4PM. We're playing music from my new CD, "For The Love OF You" (E1 Music).

I hope some of you can tune in!

this one of many takes of the nearness of you (my favorite ballad). except for the beginning i tried not to play it as a ballad and tried more to improvise with the theme and to do some kind of stride. sorry for the poor sound but i´s only the cams mic, cause i move to another flat this week and my recording stuff is already packed.

This is a Musser M44 built in 1979. It has been instorage since 1980 and recently purchased on Ebay. It looks almost brand new.

Oh man...

You were right Tarik: this version is incredible. The tempo, the gentle swing, and the deep deep soul in those two 'god''s voices! I also like the idea of both man and woman singing it. Making the meaning hmm... let's say more "universal".

If you guys are working on that tune on vibes, this version would surely be a "must dig in" to help make your version "live"!
