Here are some etudes on the tune Cherokee.

Here's the Cherokee etude. It's sooo hard, I'm burnt out on it! I give up.

I wanted to play a bass line over a head. You can't do it over a solo really, but over a head I thought it was possible. I think it's a technique that can be interspersed in a tune or solo. I don't think anyone should strive to play a baseline through a whole tune.

Vibes are booming in France as anywhere else in the world. Classically educated guys like Frank Tortiller are establishing new standards. I really dig this. Do you ?

Here are my two practice versions of Vince Guaraldi etude by TM.
The first one is a normal playing version, and the second one is an attempt to use the 2 hands separately.
I don't play the head entirely, I start improvising over the chords quite fast...
