This is amazing and I actually got a little choked up to come online and 8 other mini concerts! It's a chance for us to perform and us to listen. Mini concerts are when you play 2 or more pieces with out stopping.
So with this mini concert you can sit and listen to about a concerts worth of vibe players performing. It's incredible to me and such a statement of dedication. Preparing for this is as challenging as preparing to play a few tunes on an actual concert. As far as work, there's not much difference.
I'm playing I Love's You Porgy and Falling Grace.
I love doing mini concerts because of the challenge of playing 2 or 3 tunes without stopping.
No matter what level you are at, try doing this. Even if it's just the melody to two tunes. It's great practice!
I'll have a vibe hang at my house on Dec. 8th 1pm-3pm.
You're welcome to come if you're in Philly. Just let me know you're coming.

If you don't know, A mini concert is when you play 2 or 3 songs without stopping. Record audio or video and then post it. It let's you get the feeling of playing on stage. It has really helped my playing.

If you post video, post it on Youtube or I think Vimeo will work also. Copy the link, go to (on the left) Post > Video > Embedded video and you can figure out the rest. If you need help contact me.

Check out my student Anthony. He's working incredibly hard on Friedman 8. He has memorized it also! That's incredible. Some of the Friedman etudes seem difficult to memorize as they are so out. Anthony works hard on the vibes!
