David's music is on my laptop that I travel with, so whenever I travel, I check him out. I dig this cat. He really plays great and interesting. If you guys get a moment check him out and let me know what you think.
This is a version of Donna Lee (rom the archives). I do studies of tunes sometimes and really work on ways to play them solo. I remember working hard on Donna Lee to work out ways to play it. Check it out.

I just found out nobody is playing vibes in the jazz group at the college I graduated from (so sad, but fortunate for me!), so since I'm still in the area, they're letting me play again. As a student I was the first vibes…

This is a "Work in progress". I record this tune every six months or so and watch the improvements in phrasing, timing, melodic ideas, reharm, counterpoint and so on .... ... see you this summer for a next version !
