Why The Pros and Companies Should Keep a Weekly or Bi-weekly Blog.

I was thinking, you know if every monday the pros on the site put out a blog about what they're up to and what they're thinking it could be a very cool thing. First you would get people checking in on you blog due date, reading and thinking about you. It's a place you could mention cds and workshops, what's happening, what you're practicing, etc.

The site is getting a lot of traffic and it's growing, so why not take advantage of that. People will get to know you and come back and check in. The thing about this site is if 100 people come and hang out, they're all most likely mallet players.

I (Tony) can help you with some code to put on each of your pages that has your site, where to get your cds, etc. Even a graphic or Logo(By the way, you can also put your cds in our store if you want, even mp3 downloads).

So I can help you personalize your blog.

I think a blog is a place to talk and to sell. It's your space. I think people will come back check you out get to know you and then buy your cds and want to study with you and hear you play. That is one of the goals isn't it?

Hey Tony,

You read my mind. As I'm busy getting my life back together(being busy with gigs and doing a lot of work in my new house) I have been thinking about what to contribute for VW. At the moment I'm listening to a lot of Sonny Stitt and have been thinking about studying him thoroughly, and blogging about that.

Anyway the bottom point here is to keep stuff going here and the best way to do that is to be consistent and keep on communicating about what the we are doing(studying, gigging or thinking about). This is were we can all learn.

I hope to be back on track asap.
